Last updated: May 8, 2026

These Terms of Service govern use of AutoDoc, a local-first desktop application that can record meetings, transcribe audio locally, generate notes on-device, and optionally connect to calendar providers. By using AutoDoc, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and authority. You may use AutoDoc only if you are legally permitted to do so and have authority to agree to these Terms. If you use AutoDoc on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. Responsible use. You agree to use AutoDoc in compliance with applicable laws, workplace rules, and meeting-recording requirements. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions, notices, or consents required before recording audio, video, screens, or meeting content.

3. Your local data. AutoDoc is designed to store meeting content locally on your device. You are responsible for reviewing, managing, securing, exporting, and deleting local recordings, transcripts, notes, and related files as appropriate for your use case.

4. Optional third-party services. Some AutoDoc features rely on third-party services, such as Google Calendar APIs, Microsoft services, and optional diagnostics providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.

5. Accuracy and review. Transcripts, summaries, speaker labels, and AI-generated notes may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review them before relying on them for business, legal, compliance, personnel, or financial decisions.

6. Open-source software. AutoDoc may be distributed as open-source software. Your use of the software may also be subject to the applicable open-source license terms included with the distribution.

7. No warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoDoc is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app publisher and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, business, revenue, goodwill, or profits arising from or related to use of AutoDoc.

9. Changes and availability. AutoDoc and its connected components may be updated, modified, limited, or discontinued from time to time. Features may change as the product evolves.

10. Changes to these terms. These Terms may be updated from time to time. If updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.

Recording others means real responsibilities.

AutoDoc gives you local control over meeting capture, but it does not replace your obligation to follow consent, workplace, confidentiality, and data-retention rules that apply to the conversations you record.
